after they pretty much butchered Attack Mode in the mobile game (seriously Cygames, at least let him keep the double attack smh...), it is good to see they didn't change much for Defense Mode implementation in the mobile game soon.

it is stronger defensively in the anime, being that it reduces damage by 3 instead of only 2 in the mobile game, but the mobile game version also let's you draw 2 cards upon evolving into it so you get to feel like you can plan your next turn better after surviving with Defense Mode. also, the end of turn heal is still 3 to all allies in the mobile game.

glad they at least learned their lesson this time around.

and BOY DOES IT FEEL CATHARTIC seeing Haruma gets more unhinged as he approaches the end of the battle

I do hope that Dragoncraft still remains decent, Attack mode's pretty good with someone like Forte once she's armed, Defense mode is obviously a bigger threat

this episode was so fucking good omg. i loved that battle so much. this anime made me download and love that game. easily one of my favourites. cant wait to see him fight mikado and to see his boss monster and see how strong he is to beat haruma over and over. haruma is a tragic person tho. but defense mode is a fucking tank. cant wait to see the third mode tho. like im so hyped

I feel like light wasted the first Laevateinn by evolving into attack form just to get 2 additional face damage and gets cleared by Deathscythe hound next turn. He could've evolved into defense form and prepare for the deathscythe hound next turn. Double Laevateinn defense form would mindbreak haruma lmao
